Hymn Selection

AWAKE, each saint, in joyful lays,
To sing the great Redeemer's praise;
He justly claims a song from thee:
His loving-kindness, O how free!
He saw as ruined in the fall,
Yet loved us notwithstanding all;
He saved us from our lost estate:
His loving-kindness, O how great!
Through numerous hosts of mighty foes,
Though earth and hell our way oppose,
He safely leads His saints along:
His loving-kindness, O how strong!
When trouble, like a gloomy cloud,
Has gathered thick and thundered loud,
He by His church has always stood:
His loving-kindness, O how good!
Soon He will call us hence away
To the bright realms of endless day;
There shall we with Himself above
His loving-kindness ever prove.
