1
O PRAISE the Saviour for His love,
To take one to Hiself above!
These blessèd words our hearts suffice -
"Today - with Me - in paradise."
2
He knows His sheep, they hear His voice,
Are owned by Him, His sovereign choice.
Then praise Him, God's belovèd Son,
Who has o'er death the vict'ry won!
3
How better far than earth's rewards!
In life or death we are the Lord's!
Despite aught Satan could contrive,
In Christ shall all be made alive.
4
And "Jesus wept"! such feeling shown
For one He loved and called His own!
The love of God exceeds our boast,
In Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
5
Yes! God will bring them: every ear
The Lord's assembling shout shall hear.
They'll rise, and we with them shall be
Caught up to dwell, O Lord, with Thee.
6
In purpose, called, now justified,
Conformed to Thee - thus glorified,
And gathered round Thyself adored,
We'll be for ever with Thee, Lord!

J. Taylor, 3rd.
