8.7.8.7.

1
JESUS is a glorious Saviour,
Theme of heav'n's eternal song;
Peace He offers thee, and pardon.
Wilt thou now to Him belong?
2
Is thy heart oppressed with sorrow
In this world where death is rife?
One who knows and understands thee,
Bids thee come - in Him is life.
3
He would turn thee from sin's pleasures,
Where no lasting joy is found;
Set before thee hidden treasures,
Grace that would to thee abound.
4
Ere thy heart commenced its beating,
Or thine eyes beheld the light,
Love divine for men was planning
Happiness in glory bright.
5
Even though thy sins condemn thee,
Graver still thy sinful state;
He who knows it died to save thee,
Bore sin's load in all its weight.
6
Now He lives a Man in heaven,
Glory-crowned at God's right hand,
Waiting now to save and bless thee,
Wide outstretched His gracious hand.
